If you find yourself traveling through the quaint township of Poatina, Tasmania, make sure to carve out some time to visit The Tiers Tea Lounge. Nestled in the East Wing of The Village Green, this charming café is more than just a pit stop; it’s a delightful experience that merges great food with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a cozy ambiance that embraces you like a comforting hug. With pieces of local art adorning the walls, you can’t help but feel the creative energy that surrounds you. Many patrons, like Bob K, have likened it to a step back in time—evidently appreciating the café’s aesthetic charm as much as its culinary offerings.

The menu showcases a selection of expertly crafted dishes that focus on local and fresh ingredients. You can’t go wrong with their Gourmet Sausage Rolls served with a crisp salad—a tantalizing A$8 treat that perfectly balances flavors and textures. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, their Toasted Sandwiches offer a choice of Chicken and Avocado, Ham and Cheese, or a delightful Vegetarian option on Turkish or gluten-free bread, all for the same price. And for those with dietary restrictions, their Gluten-Free Bacon Wrapped Chicken and savory rolls provide an equally delicious experience without compromising on taste.

As you enjoy your meal, take a moment to soak in the atmosphere and engage in conversations with the friendly staff, who are as committed to creating a memorable experience as the culinary team is to crafting exquisite dishes. Customer 'coal salihovic (colskii)' notes the café’s inviting spirit, perfect for gathering with friends or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon.

Don’t miss the chance to indulge in something sweet while you’re here. The scones are particularly notable, as shared by traveler Aida A, who described them as a highlight of her stopover between Launceston and Hobart. Every bite feels like a little celebration of flavor, especially accompanied by a soothing cup of coffee from their carefully curated selection.

With its friendly atmosphere and passionate owners, Jo and Dave, The Tiers Tea Lounge isn’t just a café; it’s a community hub where you can enjoy delectable meals and immerse yourself in the local art scene. As Caitlin Henderson mentioned, the atmosphere is lovely, and the adjoining art gallery adds an extra layer of charm, making it a wonderful spot to unwind and explore.

In summary, The Tiers Tea Lounge is a must-visit for anyone in Poatina or passing through. Whether you’re looking for a hearty lunch, a quiet place to chat over coffee, or an artistic escape from your travels, this café will meet your needs and exceed your expectations. Reach them at +61 412 870 024 to learn more or plan your visit today—you won’t regret it!

We came from Sydney and are travelling from Launceston to Hobart! Had a lovely stop at this charming cafe between road trip legs. The owners were so welcoming, and the scone was delicious! The atmosphere was perfect.

Such a nice spot to have a coffee on your way to the central plateau. Food is home made and delicious, we had the lamb pie and a avocado chicken cheese panini. Price are good. 25$ for two long black and food !

Called in for lunch last week. Great location after completing the drive around The Great Lake. Hubby and I had Lamb and Rosmary homemade pie with salad. Fantastic pies!! Lots of filling and the pastry were nice and crunchy!! Coffees were good too! The only negative thing was that the cafe needed a little fresh air circulating, and it was a bit stuffy. Yes, I know it was a cool day, but just needed to be aired out. The cafe was very busy all the time that we were there.
